The Millikan Orch-a-Band conducts fundraising activities to support the General Orch-a-Band Fund and to help students to raise money for their trip and activity expenses. Each fundraiser is designated for a specific purpose when it is approved.
The General Fund is used to support the Millikan High School Instrumental Music Department for needs beyond the school budget. We pay for music coaches, provide student scholarships, and purchase equipment for use by the Instrumental Music Department, in addition to sponsoring parties and hosting the Annual Awards Banquet. Profit from the Student Accounts fundraisers is credited to the individual accounts of each student maintained by the OAB Financial Secretary and Treasurer. These funds are available to cover student trip expenses and approved Music Department student expenses such as the annual Awards Banquet.

El Torito will donate 25% of total food sales generated by our supporters at this event to Orch-a-Band. You must present the flyer when you pay your bill. Ms. Annes has copies in her classroom. |
Orch-a-Band Membership
Year-round
Once the initial $35 family membership is paid for, all additional patron memberships sold by a student are applied directly to the student's account. |
Band Aid
October 1, 2008 through May 31, 2009.
- Donate your Long Beach Towne Center store, service, restaurant and entertainment receipts (including Edwards Cinemas ticket stubs) to Millikan High School.
- Band aid receipt boxes are located in the food court, Sport Chalet and Chick-fil-A.
- Receipts/ticket stubs must be dated October 1, 2008 - May 31, 2009.
- Dollar amounts will be converted into points toward cash for customers' chosen schools at the May 2008 program conclusion.
- Once dropped into the Band Aid box, receipts cannot be retrieved. If you prefer to hold on to your receipts, have the dollar amount logged during a Receipt Redemption Day in November 2007 and May 2008 at your corresponding school.
